I was born and raised near Twin Falls, Idaho. Growing up, I enjoyed being outdoors playing softball, basketball, volleyball, doing gymnastics, collecting bugs, picking flowers, and playing in the canal. I did a lot of these outdoor activities while wearing a dress, which may be the reason I seldom wear dresses as an adult…..too much time in them as a child. My parents had a lot of difficulty getting and keeping my siblings and I indoors, but I am certain they enjoyed the peace and quiet as we terrorized the world outside. As a little girl, I dreamed of being a teacher, a lawyer, a doctor, and of course a princess.

After high school, I continued my education, receiving an associate's degree from the College of Southern Idaho. I continued to work hard in entry level jobs. I spent many years working as a waitress in a family owned diner before deciding that it was time for a change. I decided relocate to Richfield, Utah where my mother and brother had moved years earlier. I went back to waitressing and also worked in retail. It was at this time that I decided to go back to school and work toward a fulfilling career, so I enrolled in the bachelor's program through Kaplan University.

While going to school and working in retail, I was referred to Sorenson's Ranch School by a friend. I was hired on as activity staff in October of 2010, and really loved working with the students. I had actually found a job that was fulfilling!!! I was encouraged to be creative when interacting with the students and I was able to do one of the things I had dreamed of as a little girl…..I was able to teach. I have also worked as a case manager, as well as a shift supervisor.

In 2016, I was moved to the therapy department and given the opportunity to work as a group facilitator, which I absolutely love! I am currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix, working toward a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and friends. I especially love being with my nieces and nephews.
