Amberlee Ellett is a nationally certified, licensed clinical mental health counselor and teacher. Amberlee has been working in adolescent residential treatment since 2012, with the exception of a short period of time spent working in community mental health. Prior to becoming a licensed clinician, she was an educator for ten years specializing in special education while teaching for a virtual high school. Six of those years were also spent serving as the special education coordinator. As a clinician, Amberlee is passionate about utilizing her skill sets both clinically and educationally to help her clients overcome challenges and obstacles in both their personal and academic lives. She specializes in the areas of; adolescent behavioral problems, substance abuse, adoption, attachment disorders and trauma. Amberlee is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy and in equine therapy (EAGALA). She loves working with horses therapeutically to help repair familiar, attachment and communication issues.
Amberlee is the mother of four fabulous children. In their free time, you can find her and her kids boating and wake surfing, riding ATV’s, skiing / snowboarding, hiking, camping and enjoying the great outdoors.
